Neopets is an online community of virtual pet owners. In the world of Neopia, you can play games, make friends, battle your neopets and even trade them. Neopoints is the currency in Neopia. In order to get neopoints, you have to open a shop and sell unwanted things that you obtain during game play. The shop wizard is a special tool that allows you to search for items in other players' shops. Knowing how to use the shop wizard well can save you thousands of neopoints and maybe even gain a few.

The shop wizard can be found by clicking on the "shops" link at the top of your screen on the navigational toolbar. Then you simply click the blue link that says "shop wizard" to continue to the wizard. Once there, you type in all or part of the name of the item that you are looking for and then click "search." Results will appear. To visit the shop click on the username and you will be directed to their shop immediately. The item you searched for will appear at the top of the user's shop for easy access.
Refresh

Once you have searched for an item with the shop wizard, you can refresh the search results. Not all of the results in Neopia will appear at once, but the order will show up as cheapest to most expensive. However, different sets of results appear every time you refresh the results. There are 13 different possibilities. Therefore, if you refresh your results, the next set you get may have an item cheaper than the first set of results you viewed.

If you are using the shop wizard to price your own items in your shop, always price your items cheaper than the cheapest one on the shop wizard. For example, if you are selling a main codestone, search the shop wizard for "main codestone." Let's say the cheapest one, after a few refreshes, is 3,000 neopoints. Price the main codestone in your shop for 2,999 neopoints and yours will show up first when someone uses the shop wizard to find a main codestone. If you want to keep your shop stocked up you can price your items around the lowest on the shop wizard, but not the absolute cheapest.
Super Shop Wizard

The super shop wizard is a beneficial tool for many neopets players. You must sign up to be a Neopets premium member, which requires a monthly fee, in order to have access to the super shop wizard. When you search for an item with the super shop wizard, you do not have to refresh the results to find the cheapest one, it appears first automatically. The drawback of this tool is that it can only be used for 20 minutes each hour. You cannot search for paint brushes, map pieces or potions.
