Gazebo wedding decorations can be simple or complex.

A gazebo can be a memorable centerpiece for an outdoor wedding. They serve as a frame for the couple to stand in while exchanging vows. A gazebo also adds elegance to an outdoor wedding reception. It's important to select the best gazebo wedding decorations, since this will be a focal point of this important day.

From Quick Guide: Wedding Decorations 101

    Use Garland

  1. Garland is an excellent way to hide any imperfections on the gazebo. Select a garland that matches the season. Pine cones, berries or dried maple leaves do well for winter weddings. Grapes or flowers are good for warmer season weddings. For all seasons, you can use ribbons that match the color theme of the wedding.
  2. Use White or Clear Light Strands

  3. Wrap white or clear light strands around the gazebo. The lighting can create a beautiful ambiance for nighttime weddings or provide additional lighting for photographers. This will light the area better for wedding photos and viewing. Run a strand of lights around the gazebo railing. You can intertwine the lights inside the garland or hang it separately. Use strands of lights that match the wedding colors.
  4. Use Candles

  5. Candles add elegance and romance to the wedding. You can use regular candles, battery operated candles or electric candles. Be sure there are no flammable objects near the candles. Check to see if fire codes prohibit flames in the gazebo. Stand pillar candles in the four main corners of the gazebo. You can also place pillar candles on the ground on each side of the person leading the wedding vows, if additional lighting is needed.
  6. Use Tulle

  7. Wedding tulle fabric is a thin, fine mesh fabric. It is often used for wedding veils, the outer layer of a bridal skirt and even to hold together wedding bouquets. Use a hot glue gun to attach butterflies or silk flowers to the tulle. Another option is to attach fabric bows that match the wedding colors to the tulle, instead of butterflies or silk flowers. Place the tulle at the center, top of the gazebo. Arrange the tulle evenly down the sides of the wedding gazebo. Cut the tulle to make an opening for the gazebo's entryways. You can tie these back onto the gazebo frame.
  8. Decorate Around the Gazebo

  9. Place decorations around the gazebo that match the season and the wedding theme. For a fall wedding, you could place pumpkins on the ground and put ivy between and around them. For a Christmas wedding, you could place several small decorated Christmas trees near the wedding gazebo and use Christmas-themed decorations on the actual gazebo. If the season isn't relevant, decorate around the gazebo with flower arrangements that match the colors of the wedding and the bride's flower bouquet.
