Etiquette on Stuffing Envelopes
There are a few occasions when one needs to combine a few items to include in one envelope. This usually happens when an RSVP is needed for a party, such as weddings and baby showers. These invitations may have reply envelopes or a sheet of directions included. If you plan on mailing more than just one sheet of paper or one card, you will want to use proper etiquette when stuffing your envelopes.

RSVP Cards
-
If you need an accurate count as to who is going to show up to your party, it is a good idea to include an RSVP card. It is proper etiquette to also include an envelope with each RSVP card. This envelope will be smaller than the one you are using to mail all of the pieces of stationery. It is also proper etiquette that you place a stamp on the RSVP envelope and have it already addressed. This makes it easy for the recipient to fill out and return it. The RSVP card should be tucked under the flap of the RSVP envelope with the important wording facing out.
Tissue Paper
-
Tissue paper should be cut to fit the size of each piece of stationery that is to go in the envelope. One sheet of tissue paper should be used to separate each piece of stationery to help keep the stationery organized and make it look fancy. Remember to place the smaller pieces of stationery inside of the larger ones. You are now ready to stuff your envelopes.

Stuffing the Envelope
-
Now focus on stuffing your bundle of stationery into your envelope. As long as the largest piece of stationery isn't bigger than the envelope, you should be able to slide it in without any problems. The important thing to remember is to make sure that the important information on the card is facing the back of the envelope. It is proper etiquette to make sure that the individual opening the card will first see the pertinent information. If the invitation was printed up and folded three times, make sure that the crease is placed in the envelope first so that the recipient can easily open up the invitation.
