The Tallac Historic Site

Operated by the U. S. Forest Service, the Tallac Historic Site features three of Tahoe's historic homes -- the Baldwin, Pope, and Heller Estates -- which have been converted into museums. The Tallac Historic Site is not only rich in architecture but is Tahoe's focal place for cultural events such as theater performances, concerts, art shows and films, educational guided tours, town meetings and the area's Renaissance Festival.

Of course, no trip to Lake Tahoe would be complete without partaking in some of the area's numerous attractions on the lake. At 22 miles long, Lake Tahoe is a pristine sight of crystal clear waters and gorgeous mountains. Outdoors enthusiasts will love all the amenities the lake has to offer such as boating, fishing, jet skiing, parasailing, bird watching and swimming.
Gondola Ride

To experience the scenic wonders of Lake Tahoe, visitors are sure to enjoy the views of Lake Tahoe from a gondola ride. Fitted for eight passengers, a gondola ride takes guests 2.4 miles up, where they will be along side gorgeous mountains during the course of a 12-minute ride. Additionally, midway, at 9,123 feet up, through the excursion the ride stops at an observation platform called "The Deck," where guests can take in the views of alpine mountains, Carson Valley, the wilderness, and, of course, of Lake Tahoe itself.
