- To make the pig body, you don't need to add anything to the pink sweatsuit other than the tail. To create a pig tail, take a piece of bendable wire (at least a foot) and lay it on the pink felt. Run a line of fabric glue along the felt and fold over, so the wire is closely encased with the pink felt. Once the glue has dried, bend the wire (in felt) so it resembles the curls in a pig's tail. Attach the tail to the seat of the pink sweatpants with fabric glue.
- Cut two ear-shaped pieces out of the pink felt and glue them to the pink stocking cap. Next, glue the googly eyes to the front of the stocking cap. If you want to get creative, you could give your hat funny eyebrows or long eyelashes. Eyebrows and lashes can be made out of black felt and glued onto the hat.
- To make a pig nose, find a pink plastic drink cup. This cup can vary in size (especially if you are going as a family of pigs; baby pig, papa pig, etc.). Find a black marker and draw two ovals on the bottom of the pink plastic cup. Punch two holes into opposite sides along the rim of the cup. Tie a piece of string to each hole of the cup. Place the pig nose over your own nose and tighten the string around your head if needed. Start practicing your oinking.
- If you want to add to your pig costume, you could make hooves to slip over your shoes and hands. Hooves can be fashioned out of black felt and glued onto gloves or the sweatsuit. Each pig could have a theme to their costume such as a luau pig, astronaut pig, robber pig, inmate pig or baby pig. Items can be added to the costume to create a new pig look.
- Memorable costumes are unique and recognizable. If you are going for the "wow" factor this Halloween, be creative and invent your own costume; there will be enough witches and devils to go around. Also, planning will help save you time and money when it gets closer to Halloween.
