- Breast calcifications are a common occurrence on mammograms. When calcifications are found on a mammogram the patient is often asked to have additional, more detailed mammograms done on that same day. This may be alarming for the patient. Breast calcifications appear as tiny white dots on a mammogram. They may appear in clusters or patterns or just randomly sprinkled throughout the breasts or in the ducts.

Avoid foods with many chemicals added to them. Schedule an appointment with a nutritionist and discuss creating a nutrition plan which will work to prevent cancers of the breast. Ask for specific suggestions about which foods to avoid and which new foods to add to the diet.
