How many times have you started to fold a fitted sheet, only to ball it up and hope you'll sleep out all the wrinkles? Skip the hassle, eliminate wrinkles and avoid a cluttered linen closet by learning the correct way to fold a fitted bed sheet.

    Preparation

  1. Launder and dry the fitted sheet. As soon as you remove it from the dryer, shake it out and lay it on a flat surface, such as your bed or the floor. Position the sheet so that it is upside down and lengthwise in front of you, as if you are standing at the side of the bed.
  2. Folding

  3. 1. Stand near the bottom corners and fold them up toward the top corners. Push the bottom corners, inside out, into the top corners so that they fit neatly inside. The inner corners' seams should be touching, with the top folded over the bottom. Pull to tighten.

    2. Place your hands inside the two top corners and hold the sheet in front of you. Fold the left corner over the right it so that the right corner fits inside the left. All four corners should be together.

    3. Lay the sheet back down, with the fitted corners on the top right. The sheet should be in a rectangular shape. Flatten the sheet and square off the corners.

    4. Neatly fold the left side over to the right. Smooth it out.

    5. Fold the bottom in half toward the top. Smooth it out.
  4. Storage

  5. Now that you have a perfectly folded fitted sheet, there should be plenty of room in your linen closet to store a number of neat sheets. When storing fitted sheets with regular sheets, fold the fitted sheets inside out so you can tell the difference between sheets just by looking.
