Make it Personal
-
Groom's cakes can be full of personal details about the groom. Cakes can include his initials, reflect popular culture at the time of his birth, or illustrate a nickname. The cake can be made to look like the groom's favorite foods or to represent the place of his birth.
Career or School
-
Does the groom still live for his alma mater? His cake can reflect this by using the university logo, colors or mascot. What did he study in school? What does he do for a living? Cakes made to look like computers, fire trucks or even farm tractors will show off his achievements.

Sports or Hobbies
-
Sports equipment of all kinds make great cake subjects. A favorite sports stadium can be fun too. Favorite team logos and mascots work well, as well as hobbies such as fishing and poker. If four-wheeling is his thing, a four-wheeler riding across the top of the cake would look great.
All about Flavor
-
Some grooms just prefer as much flavor as can be packed into or onto a cake. Chocolate-covered strawberries or other fruit make great cake toppers. Using both white and dark chocolate, the fruit can be double dipped to resemble the groom's tuxedo. Some grooms like shaved chocolate curls, nuts and multiple colors of chocolate chips piled on their cake. Anything the groom likes to add on flavor is fine.
