- Coral and jade are the traditional 35th wedding anniversary gifts, and they can also give a color theme to your pages. Coral- or jade-toned patterns can serve as background papers or borders for photos. Coral or jade colored pens, inkpads or even a jade-green fabric-covered scrapbook with coral ribbons could be part of a 35th anniversary theme. Coral-reef stickers could form the basis for one or two pages, perhaps of special vacation memories. Jade bead embellishments or ribbons could frame a wedding photo. If the scrapbook will be presented after a 35th anniversary celebration, be sure to include photos of the party, any special gifts presented, friends and family that attended and the couple themselves.
- A wedding photo is a must for an anniversary scrapbook. Wedding-related items such as invitation or programs make a wonderful scrapbook memory. See if you can find out what colors and types of flowers the couple had at the wedding. You could press a flower of that kind and include a colored ribbon to match. You can include place cards, the guest list or any planning materials that are still around. Don't forget honeymoon photos, wedding announcements, engagement announcements and engagement photos. If the couple has ever renewed their vows, be sure to include photos and remembrances of that, too.

Finding a photo from each year of the couple's marriage, if possible, is a lovely way to mark 35 years. You can accent these with anniversary poems, verses or favorite quotes on marriage for a theme that is touching and entertaining. See Resources below for a site that suggests quotes.
Include pages depicting milestones in the couples lives, such as the births of children and grandchildren and the houses and cities they have lived in. You may also want to represent friendships, vacations, children's weddings, graduations, Christmases and birthdays in the book. Newspaper clippings add a historic touch for special events like birth announcements or notable professional, civic or personal achievements.
