- Purchase some children's medical or doctor's kits at a toy store; some dollar stores also carry these. Lay out all the items in the center of each table, or use them to make a "medical bouquet."
- Instead of regular paper streamers, use rolls of gauze and Ace bandages to create dropped arches beneath entryways and to hang down from the ceiling or walls.
- Purchase or make the traditional nurse's caps---the white hat with red cross on it. Leave these at the entrance and have guests write their name on the hat. These serve as name tags, and it will be funny to see everyone in nurse's caps (especially the men).
- Syringe pens are novelty pens that look like syringes. You can find these online or in some novelty shops. Hand them out as favors, and add a tag with the graduate's name, as well as a short message thanking everyone for coming. Attach the tag with a simple ribbon.
- You can buy gummy bandages and hearts at most stores. You can also get a gelatin or cake mold and make Jell-o brains or a cake heart. Or use Halloween baking pans and bake a skeleton cake.
- Time for an anatomy lesson. Play "Pin the blank on the blank," like Pin the Tail on the Donkey but with a poster of the human body. Choose a medical utensil, such as a scalpel, and have guests try to pin it on a specific body part, organ or muscle tissue while blindfolded. It's a fun twist on a classic game.
