Elegant bathroom decor is achieved by harmonizing a soothing color palate with exquisite details. Large mirrors add light and make your bathroom appear larger, and the lighting should be a warm yellow tone. An elegant bathroom is ideal for a master suite or for a guest full or half bathroom.

An elegant master bathroom or guest bathroom will be inviting and soothing to spend time in and use. The bathtub, shower and sink you choose can set the tone. In recent years, above counter sinks, which resemble porcelain or glass bowls placed on a counter top, have become popular, both for the aesthetic appeal as well as for the space they free up on the counter. Installing two sinks and mirrors, or two sinks that share a long granite or marble counter top below a long mirror will add a touch of luxury as well as elegance.
Choosing a bath that is large enough for two adds elegance to a bathroom. Raise the height by adding some stairs to reach the bathtub, or surround it with a rich mahogany colored wainscoting that matches the walls or cabinetry. Look beyond traditional bathtubs or showers and search for a shape that is oval or elongated. Brass faucets and handles in your bathroom will look elegant and last a long time
  2. Luxurious Tiling and Details

  3. For your walls and floor, choose beautiful Italian marble or a tile that resembles marble or sandstone. A neutral tone such as beige or white will be both restful and elegant. Marble or granite counter tops add substance to an elegant bathroom style. Although tiling or marble look most elegant in neutral and lighter tones, dark wood paneling is also an option. Your bathtub can be encased in wood, and the cabinets and closet can also be mahogany or teak, either the real wood, or just stained that color.
Make sure there is enough storage space behind closed doors or mirror to put away things that can create clutter, such as toothbrush and toothpaste, creams and deodorants. One or two attractive bottles of cream or hand soap on display look attractive, but having all your cosmetics and creams in plain sight will detract from the elegance of your bathroom. Put away clean towels and extra soap or shampoo as well, and make sure that any reading material, sare in a magazine holder or neat basket. An elegant bathroom will offer you relaxation and visual appeal.
