The summary section should begin your resume. This is the part of your resume where you will state your career goals for working in a fine dining establishment. Describe in one paragraph why you are seeking a position in a fine dining restaurant and what you hope to achieve.
Your long term plans should be included in your summary as well. For instance, if it is your goal to work in a fine restaurant as a career, state it here to show your commitment to the food industry. -
The skills or qualifications section of your resume should show the employer what you are bringing to their restaurant. Knowledge of fine wines, speaking multiple languages, the ability to multitask are all skills that should be displayed in this section. Show the employers what they will gain with you as an employee in their restaurant.
In this section, list out your skills in a bulleted list. This will make it easier for the employer to read when they are going over your resume. Brainstorm all of the skills required to be a waiter in a fine dining restaurant and list the ones that you possess. Working well under pressure, the ability to multitask and people skills are a few of the skills that you could list in this section of your resume. Food preparation skills such as salad making are a great addition to this section of your resume as well. -
For those who have worked in a fine dining restaurant before, this is the section of your resume where you will list your past employers. Be sure that you mention any special tasks that you completed while working in these positions such as menu preparation, bartending and food preparation. Provide a contact that can be reached to verify your employment and the duties that you performed.
Even if you don't have any experience in a fine dining restaurant, you may have some experience serving customers in another setting such as serving food for a charity event or working in another food service establishment serving customers. - List the schools that you attended and the years that you were enrolled. If a degree was obtained, list it in this section as well. Current students should list the school that they are currently attending and the days and hours of classes so the employer knows your availability.

Make certain to include phone numbers for your references so that the employer can call.Two or three personal references are usually sufficient for your resume.
