- Water and a diet of fruits and vegetables are easy ways to fast. Fast for one day by drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water. Lemon juice may be added to the water because it provides nutrients that aid in detoxifying the body. Eat nothing but fruits and vegetables and gluten-free products for three to seven days. Fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and aid in quick detoxing of the body.
- Enemas can be used in the privacy of your own home to flush out the colon. Use an enema twice a month to help the colon flush out toxic bile. Enemas should not be used more than twice a month because they can affect normal bacteria that live in the intestines.
