Where to Go for the Cheapest 1-Day Disney Tickets

There are more places selling Disney tickets than there are Disney resorts. To make it even more complicated, many places sell multi-day instead of single day passes. Here is a breakdown of where to go for the cheapest 1-day Disney tickets.

Online from the Theme Parks

Buying tickets on the Disney website before arrival can net a nice discount. These can either be mailed or printed from the computer.

Save more money by buying single-park passes. For example, a one-day pass to Disneyland alone costs less than a Park Hopper pass for Disneyland and California Adventure.

Travel Agencies

Another way to get a discount is to buy Disney tickets through a travel agency. Make sure the agency is licensed to do business in the state. Not all agencies sell single-day passes, so be sure to ask.

Military and Corporate Discounts

The military's Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department (MWR) sells discounted tickets. Check with the MWR office on your military base for information.

Some large corporations also offer discounted tickets to their employees. Ask the HR department for details.

Special Offers for Residents and Birthdays

Sometimes, Disney parks offer limited-time offers for residents, resulting in lower ticket prices. These are offered seasonally (in Anaheim, it's usually in the spring, the least busy season) so look at the Disney resorts pages for information. You will need to show proof of residency.

Signing up for the Disneyland Birthday Club on-line will also get you a free birthday entrance pass. You will also need to show proof of birth date (driver's license) when you arrive.

Student and Teacher Discounts

A few colleges and universities in the Southern California area have discounted Disney tickets for their students to buy. These are sold through the Student Union.

Some teachers who belong to specific credit unions can also buy discounted tickets through TSA Special Services.
