- Remember that funny-looking kid your parents brought home? The one with the big ears? Find some pictures of your sister as a baby and combine them with pictures of the two of you together. Add a piece of that special blanket (if it's still around) or some words or phrases that she used to say, even the name she used to call you.
- Find a special picture of your sister. It could be a picture of her with your mother or father, or one where she is laughing and having a great time. It could even be a photo of her in a quiet moment. Use this picture as the highlight of the page and build around it. Personalize it by telling the story behind the photo, or printing a poem that reminds you of that specific photo. Embellish the page with stamps, ribbons, or colored paper that reflects the mood of the photo. For example, if she is sitting on a beach looking at the ocean, make the page in ocean colors, with stamps of seashells and seagulls around the edges.
- There is nothing better in a woman's life than acknowledging the generations she's come from. Scrapbook a page of history. Find photos of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother-- as far back as you can go--and combine them on a page that lists your genealogy. List their names and birth (and death) dates, along with their husbands' names and the names of their children, plus the dates and places (if you know them) where the photos were taken. Or gather the generations together if possible and take a photo of all the women in your present family.
