Almost everyone has heard of the spectacular South Beach. Find it along Ocean Drive--it is the most famous of all Miami beaches and the only one that legally permits topless sunbathing. The southern end known as South Pointe offers surfing. Other beaches in the Key Biscayne area you may want to spend some time at include Hobie Beach, which offers a large variety of water activities, and Crandon Beach Park, which has facilities for barbecues or picnics along with other outdoor recreation like volleyball and softball. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area offers a great beach, boat rentals, bike trails, fishing and a historic lighthouse.

The formal gardens cover 10 acres, include a hedge maze along Biscayne Bay.
