Many Americans suffering from arthritis pain have followed the advice of doctors advice by taking numerous prescription drugs over a period of many years. While these prescription drugs provided some relief from painful knee and elbow joints over a period of years, each drug seems to lose its effect and the pain returns. After years of rotating through a wide gamut of prescription painkillers and joint supplements with little results, many patients became concerned over the cumulative effect of these drugs and the potential poisoning of critical organs. Of particular concern is the potential damage to the liver as one continues daily dosages of high-strength and potent painkillers.
In reaction to this concern, doctors prescribed large daily dosages of aspirin; internal bleeding from that led them to switch to over-the-counter high-strength (500 mg) acetaminophen. While these numbed the pain, none were effective in relieving joint pain entirely.
When new medical studies revealed that high doses of acetaminophen given over an extended period of time could cause liver damage, many patients stopped taking this pain reliever and went cold turkey.
Many who were suffering from painful advanced rheumatoid arthritis began desperately seeking out any form of natural remedies that would provide relief from increasing levels of pain. This led to a medical study in which a combination of gin and raisins were found to provide almost total pain relief in many arthritis sufferers. After investigating case studies and testimonies of those participating in double-blind studies, many concluded this was a remedy worth pursing. After discussion with their personal physicians, several patients suffering from severe rheumatoid arthritis began a gin-and-raisin regimen that -- after a period of two and a half to three weeks -- brought relief from the arthritic pain. -
First, it is important to understand that using the natural remedy of gin and raisins to get relief from painful arthritis requires the use of golden raisins. There are many choices for raisins in grocery and health food stores, but golden raisins are a required component of this recipe. It is equally important to purchase high-quality raisins as they are fresh and substantially larger, allowing them to absorb more gin.
It is recommended that you purchase golden raisins from a grocery store or health supply store that specializes in organic foods. Buy the highest quality available.
Prepare the raisins by spreading a single layer of raisins in an 8-inch-diameter cake pan or an equivalent-sized bowl. Place the raisins so that none overlap any other raisin (space in between). Pour gin over the raisins until all of the raisins are covered. Wait until all of the gin has been absorbed or evaporated and then place the raisins in an airtight container. - Eat nine of the gin-soaked raisins once a day. These may be taken all at once or throughout the day. Continue this regimen daily. The effects of the raisins may take from two to three weeks. After this time there should be a significant degree of pain relief.
- Golden raisins have been found to contain sulfites. Those who have a sensitivity to sulfites may have an adverse reaction to these raisins, including migraine headaches or a more severe reaction.
