Both silk and dried flowers are available in several types and colors that add visual appeal to any room. Use them as a dining table centerpiece or as accents on furniture to the side.
Wreaths decorated with silk and dried flowers in autumn colors, miniature pine cones and acorns make a festive autumn craft for placing on the front door or on a wall within the apartment.
Cornucopias filled with assorted silk maple leaves, dried flowers, artificial vegetables and grapes create a decorative centerpiece.
Fill a large woven basket with pine needles, seasonal gourds, miniature pumpkins, ornamental Indian corn, colorful squash and acorns as a centerpiece and create smaller versions to place throughout the apartment.
Natural items found outdoors and used in autumn craft projects include grapevine or any strong, pliable vine easily braided into a wreath base. Green or brown pine needles, acorns, pinecones in various sizes and natural grasses are usable for creating autumn crafts and arrangements. -

Measure dining and coffee tables and purchase inexpensive tablecloths or fabric in solid autumn colors or designs. Drape the tables with one color of tablecloth and top that with a smaller piece of fabric in an alternate color or pattern, so that each layer compliments the other. Cut a tablecloth to size, if necessary, and finish cloth and fabric edges with a simple stitch, or add fringe or tassels. Place one of the floral centerpieces or cornucopias, or candles, atop the table.
Create lightweight sofa or chair throws using either a sturdy fabric or large tablecloths cut to the desired length. To prevent raveling, finish the edges with a simple single stitch.
Place scented tea or votive candles inside amber, orange, russet and deep green glass candleholders and place throughout the apartment. -
