Anniversary rings are a popular gift for wives, especially for a 10th, 20th or 30th wedding anniversary. Typically, anniversary bands are relatively simple diamond-studded bands, or they may be a three-stone diamond ring. Modern choices in wedding rings, engagement rings and anniversary rings allow you to choose colored diamonds, sapphires or other stones if you prefer a slightly different look. Now that you have an anniversary band, how do you wear it?

    Wedding Set

  1. You can wear an anniversary ring as part of your wedding set on your left-hand ring finger. In this case, you would wear your anniversary ring on the bottom, your engagement ring above and your wedding band on the top of the stack. If you do not wear an engagement ring, you can wear your anniversary and wedding bands together. If you plan to wear your anniversary band as a part of your wedding set, choose a ring style that matches well with your wedding band and engagement ring.
  2. Right-Hand Ring

  3. If you choose a more elaborate anniversary ring or one with colored stones, you may want to wear your anniversary band on your right-hand ring finger. That is also a good option if your wedding and engagement rings are too big to comfortably add a third ring to the ensemble, or if you have chosen a very bold piece for your anniversary ring that doesn't match your wedding set. Be sure to have your ring re-sized if need be, as your left- and right-hand ring fingers may be slightly different sizes.
  4. Replacing your Wedding Set

  5. If you have an outdated wedding band and engagement ring, you may want to simply replace your wedding set with an anniversary ring. This may also be an option if you want to pass your wedding jewelry on to one of your children, relatives, or friends. If you lose your wedding band, consider an anniversary ring as a replacement. Many women are sentimentally attached to their wedding jewelry and have no desire to replace it; however, if you prefer to wear only minimal jewelry, this approach can be a valid option to enjoy your anniversary ring.
