Children love all kinds of animals. It is not uncommon for them to want to base the theme of their bedroom around one of their favorite animals. Some boys choose a frog theme for their bedroom because they may have some experience catching frogs in their backyard. Decorating a bedroom using a frog theme can be a lot of fun. It is also a way for you to be creative and make a bedroom your child will want to play in.

    Walls

  1. Begin by choosing to either paint the walls blue to represent water, or wallpaper your walls with a frog wallpaper. Either one would be great. If you choose the paint option, you will also want some small cans of a sandy brown to paint some plant stalks going around the room. You could also purchase some removable frog themed wall stickers. They are easy to use and you have the freedom to create a scene anywhere you want on your walls.
  2. Flooring

  3. Choose a carpet color that will match the wall so that the room is one big lake. Don't worry about the room being too blue because you can purchase some green lily pad rugs to lay around the room. You could also choose to leave your wood flooring and just purchase some pond rugs.
  4. Bedding

  5. Purchase a frog bed set. If you are lucky, you will find one at your local department store. Unfortunately, the frog theme may be a little specific so you will have to shop online for a frog bed set. If you don't want to spend the extra money for a frog specific bed set, just purchase a plain green bed set to match the color of the frogs.
  6. Frog Furniture

  7. Purchase some frog stencils. You may want stencils with designs of frogs, lily pads and insects that frogs like to eat. Use these stencils to paint any dressers or wooden chairs in the room. This will tie the furniture in with the theme of the rest of the room. You can always buy furniture that is already painted with a frog theme or pay an artist to do it for you.
  8. Frog Extras

  9. Stock the room with extra frog items. This could be stuffed frogs, inflatable beach frogs or bobble head frogs. Remember that frogs like to eat flies and dragonflies so you can buy some items to decorate the room along those lines.
