This occurs when any foreign body enters the breathing passageways. This can be mucus, pollen or any other object. Asthma causes chest tightness, coughing, wheezing and an inability to take in air. The cases of asthma can range from very mild, showing no symptoms, to severe and causing death. There are several things you can do at home if you feel an asthma attack coming on.

This will temporarily open the air passageways and allow the pain from an attack to subside. This is not a long term cure but a quick treatment if someone is having problems breathing due to an asthma attack.
