    1. Oily Skin

      • Oily skin is prone to breakouts and has improper oil production. Honey contains nutrients such as B vitamins and potassium. B vitamins are known to regulate oil production and clear blemishes, and potassium is a natural bacteria killer.

Make a honey cleanser by combining 1/4 cup of honey, 1/2 cup of mild liquid soap and 1/2 cup of water. Wash your face twice a day with this cleanser to clarify and smooth the skin.

After cleansing, use pure witch hazel as an astringent. Apply a small amount to the face with a cotton ball to soak up excess oil and impurities. Witch hazel will also reduce inflammation from acne irritation.

      Dry Skin

      • Dry skin has a number of causes and can become worse in cold, dry weather. Olive oil is an original natural beauty ingredients and is known for its moisturizing and clarifying properties.

For smooth and moisturized skin, make an olive oil facial cleanser. Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of mild liquid soap into a clean container. Use in place of your normal cleanser twice a day for smooth and hydrated skin.

For an intensive night treatment that will repair dry and damaged skin, apply a mixture of 1/2 teaspoon of pure vitamin E oil and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil to the face before bed. Skin will be extremely soft and supple the next morning.

      Cellulite

      • Cellulite can strike at any age, but it gets worse with time. It is caused by heredity, diet and physical activity level. Caffeine is a popular ingredient found in many cellulite creams, and it is easy to perform a daily caffeine treatment on cellulite ridden areas.

Massage coffee grounds into moist skin for 2 to 3 minutes while in the shower. The massage will also stimulate blood flow to break up some of the fat pockets that come through the skin as cellulite.

Either keep a container of coffee in your shower, or use the grounds left from your morning brew.
