A bee costume is probably the easist costume to make, and can be done quickly with just a few items that you may already have. This costume idea works for children as well as adults, so have fun at your next Halloween party and BEE good!

    What you'll need

  1. Think black. You will need black pants,a long-sleeved black turtleneck shirt, black socks and shoes and black facepaint. You will also need a bright yellow t-shirt, black electrical tape, and a headband with balls at the end of attached wires. If you can't find one to buy, simply purchase a black headband and black craftwire that is fairly sturdy. Spray-paint 2 small styrofoam balls black, and insert them on the end of the wire that you have wrapped around the headband. They should stand straight up. You will also need to purchase wings, which can also be spray-painted black. Also, you should purchase hair spray paint in black, unless your hair is very dark.
  2. Putting it together

  3. Dress completely in black and put the yellow t-shirt over the black turtleneck. Using the black electrical tape, make horizontal stripes around the chest and belly.

Use the face paint to paint all visible skin, including the backs of the hands. Attach the wings to the back. Spray-paint the hair and put the headband on.
  4. Tips

  5. If you have a black hooded sweatshirt, you could use it in place of the turtleneck and pull the hood up to cover the hair.

To make this an even funnier costume, carry a plastic gun and you've become a "killer bee."
