Shadow boxes are a great way to store memories that aren't just photos. They are like picture frames for larger keepsake items for your baby boy. Shadow boxes make a great gift for a new mother or are a great project to make with all of that baby memorabilia you have hidden away in drawers around the house. Simply fill and close for a stunning keepsake that you can hang in your home to remember your baby boy.

    Shadow Boxes

  1. The best thing about shadow boxes is that they are large enough to store three-dimensional items that wouldn't fit in a traditional picture frame, but that you still want to display. Items such as a baby announcement along with things from the hospital, such as little blue hospital bands, would be a good fit. You can use a large picture of the baby for the background, and then mount the other items on top of it.

Use your shadow box to display items such as baby's first pair of shoes or an heirloom silver rattle. These items are things that you want to save as keepsakes, but might not have a place to put them where they can be seen. It's a great idea to fill a shadow box full of items that represent your baby boy's different firsts, like his first shoes and first toy.

A large shadow box is a great way to display your baby boy's blessing or baptism gown. You can have one built to a custom size so that the gown can lay flat. It's the perfect way to not only display it, but to also keep in good condition as an heirloom item.
