Calendar scrapbooks are the perfect gifts for friends and family members who live far apart but want a way to keep in touch over the calendar year. You can makes calendar scrapbooks that remind family members of all of the fun they had in the previous year, or as a way to remember a large family's different birthdays. You can even make advent calendars for your neighbors and friends. Here's how.

    Theme Calendar

  1. Why not make your own commercial-style themed calendar scrapbook? Just go to any calendar store and you'll see dog calendars, cat calendars, celebrity calendars, and other calendars that use a theme. Make your own by choosing a subject, whether it is your new baby, a family member, or the dog, and take photos representing the different months with your subject. You can do things like having the subject holding flowers for May, or with a Santa hat for December. Then, simply compile the calendar with the photos you've used and give it to family and friends.
  2. Birthday Calendar

  3. Do you have a large family where it is almost impossible to remember everyone's birthday? Try making a birthday calendar scrapbook, showing all the months, with pictures of family members on their birthdays. You can even place all of the family addresses and phone numbers in the back of the calendar scrapbook, so you always have the information to send a birthday card or call with your birthday wishes. That way, it only takes a quick glance at the calendar to find out who has a birthday in a particular month. Remember to leave space on the calendar for new additions to the family. Its a great way to keep a family close together, even if they are spread apart.
  4. Advent Calendars

  5. If you are looking for an inexpensive but impressive Christmas gift for your neighbors and friends, consider making a scrapbook advent calendar for the month of December. Simply start with a piece of 12"x12" cardstock, and use tags for each of the days in the month. Fashion a small Santa, reindeer, star or other fitting shape abd attach it to the page with re-adjustable adhesive, so that those you give the advent calendar can move the shape along for every day until Christmas. You'll also have your gifts done and given out before December, so you can relax the rest of the month.
