Chili is one of the most versatile food dishes in all of history, as it lends itself to almost any variation a creative chef can imagine. The origin of chili is not exactly known, though it was certainly developed in Mexico or along the border towns of California in the mid-1800's. It was made from the food left over from other meals prepared in small cantinas, and was cheap and easy to make. Today, most chili is made with chili peppers, beans and meat, but can also contain tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, corn and anything else the chef may have lying around.

In this free video series, our expert will demonstrate how to make a delicious and spicy vegetarian chili. This hearty chili replaces meat with a variety of beans in order to make it vegetarian and healthier. Our expert will give you step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the peppers, onion, jalapeños, and other chili peppers. You will also get tips on how to saute the vegetables, simmer the chili, and even how to make vegetarian Frito pie. This great recipe is sure to please everyone in the family, even the meat eaters!
