Williams, III studied at the University of Florida where he earned a bachelor's of science degree in agriculture in 1988 and a doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1992. Following graduation, Dr. Williams accepted a position with the prestigious Knowles Animal Clinics in Miami, developing particular interest in preventive medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
