Studying piano since age 4, at age 5 she took up the violin at her insistence (according to her mom) and studied at the St. Louis Community Music School (now known as Webster Music School) . She is an alumnae of the Mannes College of Music Preparatory Division in New York City where she majored in Violin and Music Composition and studied under Dr. Ann Setzer. She is also an alumnae of the Meadowmount School of Music where she also studied violin with Dr. Setzer. A lover of many composers, her favorites include Beethoven, Bach, Barber, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Paganini. In addition to her classical studies, she also composes pop, rock and alternative music as well as chamber and choir music.
