Depending on the type of cat you have, regularly grooming your cat is important. Certain short hair cats, such as Siamese and Burmish cats, are good about grooming themselves. Domestic breeds with denser coats should be groomed more often. Long hair cats need to be groomed on a very regular basis. Grooming includes brushing or combing matted hair, clipping nails, bathing and cleaning wax out of the ears. In this free pet care video series, let a veterinarian show you how to properly groom your cat. First she explains what is involved in general cat groom and how cats groom themselves. Next she discusses the tools for getting rid of mats, how to brush or comb them out, tools needed for clipping nails and how to prevent nail clipping injury. Watch as she demonstrates how to bath a cat, brush its teeth and clean wax out of its ears. Your cat will be healthy and happy after you get expert grooming tips from a caring veterinarian.
