About the Presenter

Beth Kaufman Beth C. Kaufman began running competitively in 1998 as a collegiate cross-country and track runner. She trained for and raced the following distances during her college years: 3K, 5K, 10K and the Steeplechase. Kaufman finished in the top six in the state conference meet for each of these distances including a 2nd place finish in the 10K and qualifying for the National Championship in the steeplechase. Her passion for running continued after graduating, and she immediately began training for her first marathon: Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minn. Kaufman completed this marathon in 3:20, qualifying her for the Boston Marathon. Over the next five years, she completed three more marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Kaufman has been invited to run the Twin Cities 10-Miler (run during the Twin Cities Marathon) as an elite runner for the past two years. She was also a member of Gear’s Racing Team, a competitive running group that competes in races across the state against other racing teams.dkdk
