With all of the promotions for gym workout programs and home exercise machines in the media these days, many of us have lost sight of the fact that we can get in shape just fine without either one of these options. The proper workout does involve more than a jog every couple of days, but a regular routine with the simple exercises demonstrated in these videos can be just as effective as weights and machines in getting you into great shape.

In this series of free home fitness videos, our fitness expert Heather Rider shows you how work out in the comfort of your own living room. She starts out with simple stretching exercises, then gets serious with workout exercises for your entire body. Learn lunges for your lower back, squats for your legs and dips to increase your arm strength, as well as exercises for your abdomen and waist area. Follow the exercise suggestions in this video and you will be in great shape without having to invest in a gym membership or expensive home exercise machines.
