Scrapbooking is a craft that utilizes many different skills—photography, page layout and design. Scrapbooking has been around since people were able to have photos in their possession. It is a way to visually preserve moments, feelings or experiences in your life that might otherwise be written down or forgotten. It all started in 1976 when Marielen W. Christensen began keeping a book of photographs in new devices called sheet protectors. By 1980 she had assembled over 50 of these books and was asked to display them at the World Conference on Records in Salt Lake City. Since then the door of scrapbooking has been opened and flooded by people wanting to find unique ways to remember their pasts and experiences.

Scrapbooking is all about capturing creativity. There are thousands of ways to personalize your scrapbook. One of the ways to do this is through stamping. There are a variety of different ways to use stamps on your crafting projects. You can use them as backgrounds and designs. You can make glitter stamps and use them as embossing.
