Have you been nearly blind all of your life, but now have a pair of contact lenses that you hope will change everything? Do you want to put your contacts in immediately, but can’t remember how to do it since they showed you at the optometrist? Are you having trouble keeping your new contact lenses in, only to come to find out you have them on inside out? Do the lens stick to your finger, but won’t stick to your eye?

Contact lenses are a great way to correct your vision. Because there are no bulky plastic frames to hide your secret identity (sorry Superman), contacts are usually unnoticeable, both to you and to everyone else, thus creating an illusion of naturally good vision while letting the world see your face. Contact lenses don’t slide down or pinch your nose, like glasses are sometimes known to do, but they do come with their own unique set of quirks to deal with, especially when it comes to putting them on.

In this free vision series on video, learn how to put in and take out your contact lenses properly. An optician will demonstrate the steps for both procedures, as well as some troubleshooting tips on what to do if your contact becomes lodged behind your eye or just won’t go in properly.
