As the saying goes, a man’s home is his castle. Any proud homeowner likes to take care of their property and make improvements on it. Weekends are usually reserved for working in the yard for at least a few hours, perhaps doing a bit of gardening or installing a new rosebush. But eventually, more has to be done to maintain a home. The wood fences that most residences have to cordon off their backyards will inevitably rot and decay, the paint will chip, and the gate will sag, resulting in an unsightly mass of wood in disrepair.

Fear not, proud homeowner! In this free do-it-yourself home improvement video series, learn how to repair and maintain your wooden fence, with tips on identifying problem areas and using safety equipment. Get step-by-step instructions for repairing loose gate hinges, replacing rotten wood and removing chipped paint.
