It isn't easy to paint your own car, as anyone who has tried can tell you. Whether you go to Wal-Mart for krylon spray-paint or you buy a spray gun, primer, paint, and clear coat, painting a car is a labor-intensive and time-intensive process. Obviously spray-painting a car is an expedient method of repainting your car, but the finished product is most likely not what you're looking for. Though sanding, and using primer, paint, and clear coat is much more time-intensive, the finished product is worth the work and it is easier to learn to do than you might think. If you would like to learn how to paint a car, learn by starting small - like painting a scratched bumper. Usually the bumper is the first part of the car that is need of some touch up work.
