Physical therapy (or Physiotherapy) helps to develop, restore or maintain range of motion, movement, and functional ability of the body. Physical therapy is often used for gaining strength in the muscles of the body and to prevent further injury to the body. Physical therapy is also often used after a surgery or the onset of disease to restore and promote strength and mobility in the body. Pain management is another benefit of learning certain types of physical therapy. There are many different ways to treat the human body using physical therapy.

In this series of expert videos, our expert demonstrates physical therapy methods for different spinal conditions. You will learn how physical therapy is used to treat back and neck pain as well as joint conditions and muscle conditions in the back. Watch as our expert demonstrates lower, middle and upper back exercises that can improve your range of motion as well as your physical well-being. You will learn how to appropriately stretch and elongate the muscles in your back when performing piriformis stretches, forward stretches, and hamstring stretches. Treat lower back pain with strengthening exercises such as bridging and pelvic tilts as shown in these instructional videos.
