Washing hands is one of the simplest ways to prevent getting sick. It's an easy habit and doesn't require any special training, just soap and water, but it is probably the best way to keep germs and viruses away, and yet many people do not wash their hands frequently. Throughout the day, germs pile up on your hands (and the hands of people around you), and if you touch your eyes, nose or mouth, you may infect yourself with those germs, or you may infect those around you by touching things that they touch frequently, like doorknobs. Not washing hands also helps spread food borne illnesses like salmonella and E. coli infections, which infect as many as 76 million people in just America alone.

In this free video series on health and hygiene, our expert will demonstrate how to correctly wash your hands. She will go through each step of this simple process so that you know how to better protect yourself against illness and disease. She will also answer questions on when you should be washing your hands, and why it is so important. This is a great video for parents of young children who may not be washing their children's hands properly or frequently enough.
