Books are part of our lives. Like old friends, we return to our favorites for comfort, for reassurance, for inspiration. In fact, some of us even prefer books to people: if only the humans in our lives were so steadfast and reliable. You can go for months, even years without spending time with them and they remain as eager to please as the day you first drove them home from the bookstore. Even though we may bend their pages and crease their spines, they continue to give us their all. How to reward such love and dedication?

Karen Weisman Karen Weisman graduated from Boston University with a degree in Hotel and Food Management. Since then, she has helped a national grocery store chain develop and launch a gourmet food division, worked as a manager at a large catering company, and owned & operated her own her restaurant.
