Thanksgiving is a time when family and friends get together and celebrate the good things in life. And what better way to celebrate than with a feast that could feed a small country? Kick back and watch as old sibling rivalries lose their power, subdued by a glut of mashed potatoes, gravy, and tryptophan-injected turkey. Allow the food coma to take hold, and then slip over to the living room, turn on a football game or heartwarming holiday movie, and drift into oblivion as you digest the best meal you’ve eaten all year, hands down.
Or, you could start a new Thanksgiving tradition in your home. In this free video series, learn some creative games you can play and activities you and the kids can do to pass the time constructively, as well as have a little fun. Our Thanksgiving Day expert, Matt Cail, will discuss some of the more traditional ways to pass the time, including making a wish on the turkey wishbone or watching the parade. But he’ll also show you how to play several different games, including Don’t Say Turkey, Turkey Hangman, Roll the Pumpkin, Turkey Hunt, and Popcorn Convoy.
So, change your routine a little bit this Thanksgiving Day. Instead of conking out early, consider playing a Thanksgiving game with your friends and family.
