For all parents, a child's education begins at home, and teaching kids at home can be a very rewarding experience. Your child learns what you think they should know, and is with you there every step of the way so you can monitor their progress. Many resources, internet and otherwise, are available to help provide a well-rounded curriculum in the comfort and security of your own home. But teaching children at home involves a great deal of responsibility for both parent and child. The lessons and fundamentals learned at school need to be transferred to the home atmosphere, all while keeping the child interested and keeping them from getting burned out.

Before a parent begins handing out life lessons at home, it's important that they understand how to educate their child, and what aspects of education are the most important for their kids to know. In this free video series, a childcare expert will teach you the importance of building blocks, dramatic play, and different toys and games in a child's education. You'll also learn to teach your children about reading, music, cooking, the outdoors, and how to discover things on their own. But don't stop here. Talk to your child's teachers and start applying these concepts at home!
