Calisthenics Exercises & Workouts

Learn calisthenics exercises such as military push-ups, jumping jacks, duck walk, crunches, jump squats and more for your own workout program in this free exercise video lesson series.

Series Summary

With the steady trend of obesity in the general public and the recently massive increase in child and adolescent obesity, it is even more important to learn a variety of easy, and affordable methods of exercising. Bodyweight exercises differ from free-weight lifting in that they utilize body weight and sometimes very little equipment. Calisthenics is a form of bodyweight exercise, arising from gymnastics; it primarily consists of using bodyweight to workout and stretch muscles and build strength and may be performed at home, work, or most anywhere you may be – which may just suit the present obesity problem perfectly. Learn calisthenics exercises from personal trainer Ricketta Butler, a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in health science education. She demonstrates calisthenics exercises such as the military push-up, jump squat, lunge, duck walk, plyometric lunge, power jumping-jack, crunches, bicycle exercise, and triceps dips, in this free online video series.
