Warm Up Drills for Israeli Martial Arts

Learn how to do Israeli martial arts, or krav maga, with expert tips and advice on warm ups and drills for fighting techniques in this free martial arts video from our martial arts expert Julio Rivera.

Series Summary

Krav Maga is a self defense and hand to hand system of combat developed in Israel. One of the main philosophies in krav maga is the concept of no quarter, which means that no mercy will be given to the loser. The martial art is not considered a sport, and emphasizes real-life lethal threat situations in its training, and as a result there are no uniforms or competitions as in boxing, judo, karate and jujitsu. Like other martial arts, krav maga utilizes strikes, throws, locks and kicks, as well as attacks that are sometimes considered dirty like eye gouging, groin kicks, head butts and attacks on other vulnerable body parts.

In this free video series, our expert Julio Rivera will tell you all about warm up drills for Israeli martial arts, or krav maga. He will start you off with simple warm ups, like the body shake. He will then teach you more involved drills, like the center elbow drill and cross advancing drill. Julio will cover both defensive and offensive moves in these drills and warm ups for krav maga. Mr. Rivera will make sure you know how to stay safe while training in Israeli martial arts.
