Paintball is a non-regulation sport in which the participants use markers (air guns) to strike opponents with paint splatter. Marked targets (players who have been 'tagged') are eliminated from the game. A more intricate version of the childhood game we know as tag, paintball involves teams and can be played indoors or out.
