In this free video series, our kayak expert will introduce kayak river rescue throw bags and life jackets, or PFD's. He will demonstrate how to use a river rescue throw bag in various water safety situations. You will also learn the importance of the rescue life jacket and how it can be used to assist in kayak swift water river rescues. This free kayak river rescue video series will provide important advice for any trip out on the river, whether you're a novice or experience kayaker.

Fergus Coffey Fergus Coffey, Assistant Director of Instruction at Zoar Outdoor, started kayaking over a decade ago in England on the national slalom circuit. Certified under the ACA in Whitewater Canoe, Kayak and Swiftwater rescue he has been teaching and guiding for 6 years. Currently splitting his time between Zoar Outdoor and Expediciones Chile on the Rio Futaleufu in Chile he is on the water all year round. Heading up Zoar Outdoor's kayaking team he also represents Liquid Logic Kayaks and Snapdragn Sprayskirts while out at the head to head and extreme races around the country.
