The first skateboard was invented in the 1950's by the 1960's skateboarding began to go mainstream and throughout the decades to follow skateboarding has not only gone global but become a part of a culture that nothing can replace. It has evolved not only into a hobby but also a sport. Some of the reasons for this are the complex tricks that are done. Ollies, fakies, kickflips, these are only a few of the many tricks, flips and jumps skateboarding has brought to our culture and our lives.

In this video clip series our expert, Evan Blankenship, shows you the five steps of doing a kickflip. He walks you through each step piece by piece and then shows you how to apply them in the trick itself and then how to apply it in the real world. Down steps, up curbs and down ramps are a few of the places he shows you how to adapt this trick to. These are great tips for any level skateboarder. So grab your board and lets have some fun!
