Cheerleading is a competitive sport that is made up of organized routines that include tumbling, dance and gymnastics. It had its beginnings at Princeton in the 1880's with a now familiar organized crowd chant that went, “ra ra ra sis boom ba!” It wasn't until 1898 when a student, Johnny Campbell, stood in front of the crowd to direct them and became the first “cheerleader.” The first squad was formed soon after that with group of 6 men at the University of Minnesota. It is interested to note that although over 97% of cheerleaders are women today the sport started out as all male. It wasn't until the 1940's that it became a female dominated sport.

In this great video clip series you will see and learn several advanced cheerleading techniques and tips from a champion coach that will help you become either a better cheerleader or a better coach. This series covers everything from toe touches to stunting to building and preparing your squad. This information is vital to anyone wanting to step up their performance to the next level and be a champion!
