Sauces are not eaten alone. They are usually spread over another dish to heighten the flavor of the rest of the food. All sauces need a liquid base such as water, oil or tomato juice. Usually, in the case of pasta there are other food elements mixed into the sauce such as sausage, pork and beef but in most other cases the sauce is a liquid food. Sauces are used world wide and all very different depending on the country and its cuisine. For example, Italian sauces are usually tomato based and used with many different pastas and Chinese sauces are more soy based because soy is so abundant there.

In this free video series our expert will show you how to make a fantastic Italian sauce with sausage, meat and pork. You will learn the materials you will need to get started and he will walk you step by step through the whole process from choosing the tomatoes to the final spices. This is also a great food item to prepare when on a budget because it can be preserved for several days and a lot of it can be made at one time. Aren't you getting hungry?
