Carlos Navarro Carlos Navarro is an artist and history teacher at Design and Architecture Senior High, in Miami, Fla., who was born in Havana, Cuba. He came with his parents to Miami as a 4-year old refugee. Navarro, a naturally talented young painter, was put under the guidance and apprenticeship of renowned Cuban artists Felix Ramos, Rogelio Perez-Batista and Fabiola Naya. He moved to the studio of Berta Randin, where his love of portraiture was nourished through studio classes with live models. He is now a successful painter in Miami.dkdk
