Hi, I'm Jake with Specialized Garage Doors in Salt Lake City. And we're going to show you how to program your remote control. So to reprogram a remote to your garage door operator, first thing you want to do is find this learn button. Sometimes it's under a light cover, and you have to open that light cover. But it's always going to be where all your wires are going into the..into the machine. So, once you find that, go ahead and flip that open. Make sure you have your remote with you on the ladder while you're doing this. Then what you want to do, is you want to hit this learn button here one time. Yours might be purple or yellow. Go an hit that one time. Don't hold it down. You just want to hit it one time like this, one time. Then go ahead and you've got about thirty seconds or so to go ahead and hit your other button on the remote that you want to program. First time you hit it, you'll hear the machine click, second time you hit it, you'll hear the door run. If you accidentally make a mistake by hitting the wrong button while you're doing this whole process, and you need to essentially start all over; you can hold down this red button for about fifteen or twenty seconds. That will clear out all the codes the machine has learned and then you can start the whole process over. You will have to reprogram your key pad again, any other remotes that you had. So, that's the only downside to holding that button down to clear it out. That's how you do that if you need to. Again, I'm Jake with Specialized Garage Doors. And we've just covered how to reprogram your remote on your garage door.
