Hi, I'm Joey Mattina, and I'm going to show you how to properly put on soccer pads. Alright, so, soccer players wear these high, stretchy socks. They're designed like this to hold your pads in place. These are my shin pads. I put the pad on my shin, stretch my sock right over the top of it. My socks are tight enough that I don't need any tape to hold the shin pad in place. Other players like to have tape to really hold that guard right in place. Make sure, when you're buying shin pads, that they cover an ample amount of your shin, at least, if not more, than 50 percent. Too small of a shin guard, and the referee won't let you play.
